Kyte.tv

Just came across this today (surprised I haven't seen it earlier): kyte.tv. It's a content distribution platform that incorporates live media and chat, and the way it does it is pretty cool.

You can create a channel and broadcast from any computer or your mobile phone with voice and video, and it will instantly steam it to any site that has your channel's Flash app embedded, and this includes the major social networks. Viewers can chat to each other using text and voice IM. Everything is recorded so any who missed your live cast can view them retrospectively.

One you have a large audience, you can start thinking about cashing in on it with ads.

The 'producer' mode is pretty powerful too, letting you not just broadcast audio + video, but also include things like slideshows and live polls that your user can participate in.

Have to keep this in mind for future projects!
